Coming from the flax plant, a plant that is grown without chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, linen benefits soil and farmer health, biodiversity and the planet even before it becomes fiber. In order to be produced, flax corps require minimal water – they can grow with just the rainwater! – and develop rapidly, making it one of the sustainable materials in the textile world.
Linen fiber has extraordinary durability, therefore, it can be washed, enjoyed and loved over and over again, reducing the need for replacements and producing less waste. At the end of its lifecycle, naturally dyed linen can fully biodegrade and gracefully return to the earth. leaving behind minimal ecological footprint.

To create our products responsibly, we went beyond linen’s sustainable nature. Every Klinon linen and linen blend piece has been produced using power sourced from renewable sources. Harnessing linen’s durable properties, we have designed and tested our yarns for extended use and washing, creating timeless pieces that can even pass from one generation to another.
Moving towards a sustainability-driven future, our collections feature yarns and fabrics mainly originating from Europe, certified with the OEKO TEX Standard 100 and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). Keeping our responsible standard high in every aspect, many Klinon pieces are manufactured with a zero-waste mindset, under the Global Recycled Standard certification, while all the dyestuffs and chemicals used adhere to the rigorous standards set forth by European REACH compliance legislation.
